Peace Center Lahore organized annual Interfaith Christmas Celebration on 23rd December,2023 at Peace Center with the people of different religions. It was to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ – the Prince of Peace. In this gathering more than 100 delegates Christan, Musli, Hindu and Sikh religions participated Passage from the Gospel of St Luke about the birth was read, Christmas Carrols were sung, speeches on the significance of Christins and need of sharing of Christmas joy with all around us was emphasized. Christmas cake was cut. Children were presented Christmas gifts to children. Festive dinner was served to all. As well as Peace Awards were presented to prominent personalities and promoters of interfaith harmony and peace from different religions.

The honorable guests included; Allama Muhammad Zubair Abid, Dr. Marqus Fida, Pastor Amjad Niamat, Rev. Dr. Majeed Abel, Rev. Emmanuel Khokar, Sardar Sikandar Singh, Pandit Bhagat Lal Khokar, Mufti Ashiq Hussian, Allama Badar Munir, Prof. Mehmood Ghaznavi, Sardar Kalyan Singh, Ms. Naureen Akhtar, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Allama Asghar Arif Chishti, Allama Asim Makhdoom, Syed Nau Bahar Shah. Program started with the prayer of Rev. Dr. Majid Abel and Fr. Akhtar Naveed OP recited the Holy Bible.  Fr. James Channan OP Director Peace Center was host. Mr. Asher Nazir Executive Secretary Peace Center invited, Fr. James Channan OP for welcome note. Fr. James Channan OP welcomed all the guests and wished them a very warm and blessed Christmas.

He said: “Jesus Christ born and gave the message of peace and love to the whole world. He is the Prince of Peace and we are following His teachings.” He shared that I am happy to in this interfaith Christmas Celebration a big number of interfaith people is present and as Christians, Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus together we are celebrating Christmas at Peace Center. This is the season of sharing love, peace, joys and happiness. Christmas brings joy to everyone on earth. In this Interfaith Christmas Celebration this is sign of joy that a large number of peace-loving Christian, Muslim, Hindu and Sikh leaders and families joined. May Peace and Joy of Christmas always remain with us and the entire world!

James Channan OP Interfaith leaders cut the cake with joy and all were happy that they were part of this interfaith Christmas celebration at Peace Center. All the honorable guests were very happy and enjoyed the different activities; they also joined the Christmas Cake Cutting Ceremony and wished one another a very blessed and Merry Christmas. Christmas carols were sung by Dominicans brothers and people were very much impressed with this program.

Fr. James Channan OP announced that from many years for the promotion of Peace and Interfaith harmony with many important personalities form different religions and together we are promoting peace and interfaith harmony among the religions in Pakistan. different religions are working with Peace Center for the promotion of peace and interfaith harmony among the different religions in Pakistan. Today we present Peace Award to 20 important interfaith personalities from Peace Center Lahore because they are working as promoters of Peace and Interfaith harmony among the people of different religions in Pakistan.

Fr. James Channan OP presented Peace Award to 20 Interfaith Leaders who are promoting peace and interfaith harmony in Pakistan. Peace Awards given to Muslim, Christian, Hindus and Sikh personalities, as Allama Muhammad Zubair Abid, Dr. Marqus Fida, Pastor Amjad Niamat, Rev. Dr. Majeed Abel, Rev.
