Interfaith Mela began with interfaith prayers Christian, Muslim and Hindu.  Chairman of Universal 

Interfaith Peace Mission Dr. Allama G.R Chisti welcomed to all honorable guest Dr. Fr. James Channan OP, URI Regional Coordinator Asia – Pakistan, Mr. Vittorio Cammarota Country Director /Representative of UNIC, Mr. Jean Francois Cautain Ambassador of European Union, Dr.Amina Hoti, Dr. Prof Altaf Hussian Zikria University Bahawalpur, Om Parkash Hindu Leader, Ranjit Singh Sikh Leader, Bishop Rev. Aftab Anwar Messianic Congregation Pakistan, Ch. Zubair Farooq Ahmad Coordinator Lahore MCC. Chief Guest was HE Mr. Nawaf Saraireh Ambassador of Jordan and this event presided by Honorable Sardar Muhammad Youdaf Fedral Minister for Religious & Interfaith harmony Affairs. 

Dr. Allama G. R Chisti talked on the objective of Interfaith Mela and He siad that UIPM and Islamabad   MCC URI Pakistan is the host and we are happy that Dr. Fr. James Channan OP URI Regional Coordinator Asia – Pakistan always with us to organized such as these programs and events. So together we celebrated World Interfaith Harmony Week WIHW 1-7 February, 2017. We organized many programs because dialogue among different faiths and religions is the need of time. He said that we met different religious, Political and diplomatic personalities all across the country to spread the message of WIHW. Although the World Interfaith Harmony Week has been announced by the UN, but King Abdullah second of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is the official sponsor of the World Interfaith Harmony Week Prize. He said that UIPM and URI Pakistan delegation comprising members of different faiths visited Balmik Temple, Gurdwara Punjab Sahib Hassanabdal, Buddist Temple and Bahai faith local assembly. With it Interfaith delegation visited schools and Colleges where videos and speeches of different Islamic World on interfaith harmony screened. He highly appreciated the struggle of Dr. Fr. James Channan OP to promote peace and interfaith harmony among different religions and today we are together from different religions and working for interfaith harmony.

The World Interfaith Harmony Week is based on the pioneering work of the common word initiative which call upon religious leaders to engage in a dialogue based on two common fundamental  religious commandments; Love of God and Love of Neighbor, without nevertheless compromising any of their own religious tents.

Dr. Fr.James Channan OP shared his National and International experiences he said that for better World we have to unite and promote interfaith harmony and if we act Love of God and Love of Neighbor then everyone live with peace. We should promote tolerance, Forgiveness and Love to other. He said that two times I was invited in White House USA by President Obama from Pakistan.  He congratulated to Allama G.R Chisti and Islamabad MCC URI Pakistan for this successful Interfaith Mela. Here Allama G.R Chisti received a certificate as new coordinator of Islamabad MCC from Dr. Fr.James Channan OP.  Lahore MCC coordinator Mr.Zubair Farooq Ahmad also received certificate from Dr. Fr.James Channan OP URI Regional Coordinator Asia – Pakistan.

Dr.Fr.James Channan OP presented his book Path of Love a Call for Interfaith Harmony to Mr. Vittorio Cammarota Country Director/Representative UNIC, Mr. Jean Francois Cautain Ambassdor of European Union and HE Mr Nawaf Saraireh ambassador of Jodan.

Amina Hoti, Bishop Aftab Anwar, Om Parkas and Rinjit Singh said every religion give the education of Love of God and Love of Neighbor because if we love to God then we love to people.  So we should spread the message of Love of God and Love of Neighbor in this society.  

Ambassadors from European Union, Jordan and representative UNIC said that we should practice tolerance and live together in peace with open another as good neighbors and to unite our strength to maintain national peace and security. They appreciated to Dr. Allama G.R Chisti chairman of Universal Interfaith Peace Mission for his wonderful and noble work which he is working with the communities of different religions.

In the last of program Dr. Allama G.R Chisti presented a beautiful shield to HE Mr.Nawaf Saraireh ambassador of Jordan with all honorable guests.
