Peace Center organized International Women’s Day with the partnership of Christian Care Foundation and the Ministry of Human Rights Pakistan on 19 March,2025 at Pak Arab Housing Society Ferozepur Road Lahore. More than 70 women, girls participated from all walks of life and they celebrated International Women’s Day, 2025 with the theme of “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” Chief guest of the ceremony was Madam Lubna Mansoor

Regional Divisional Director Punjab the Ministry of Human Rights Pakistan. Sr. Genvevieve Ram Lal National Director of Catholic Women Organization participated as guest of honour. As speaker Ms. Naureen Akhtar, Madam Neelam Nisari, Fariha Noor, talked on the rights of women. Education and awareness play vital roles in fostering inclusion and empowering women. Mr. Asher Nazir warmly welcomed to all guest and he congratulated to all happy International Women’s Day. He gave the introduction of all honourable guest and invited them on stage.
Fr. James Channan OP talked on theme which shared by United Nations to the World. He said that International Women's Day was marked for a first time by the United Nations in 1975. The UN announced their first annual theme "Celebrating the past, planning for the Future" which was followed in 1997 with "Women at the Peace table", in 1998 with "Women and Human Rights", in 1999 with "World Free of Violence Against Women", and so on each year. The campaign theme for International Women's Day 2025 is "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment". This theme emphasizes the urgency to achieve gender parity globally and calls for action to unlock equal rights, power, and opportunities for all women and girls. International Women's Day (IWD) is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Each year, this day serves as a powerful reminder of the progress made towards gender equality and highlights the work that still needs to be done. Education and awareness play vital roles in fostering inclusion and empowering women.
Through initiatives such as mentorship programs, educational workshops, and advocacy campaigns, individuals and organizations can create opportunities for women to thrive. By providing support and resources, women can be empowered to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. By providing family support and resources, women can be empowered to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
