He is a model role for peace promoters and peace activists in the world. Every year he invited by many national and international forums, organizations, universities, and Government of different countries.

Guatemala Government appreciated to Fr. James Channan OP for his noble mission to unite the people of different religions in the world. Mr. Mario Maldonado Cultural Heritage, Vice Minister of Guatemala Government said that we are very much inspired with your devotion and commitment for the work of peace and interfaith harmony among the different religions of World. He said that Guatemala Government awarded you with International Peace award with great honor and respect because you are uniting the people of different religions with the message of Love, tolerance, peace and acceptance of other. This is great work and our world need Love and Peace not war and violence between religions and countries.

Fr. James Channan OP gave a public lecture in Guatemala City on 9th of August, 2022 on the theme of importance of Interreligious dialogue in the modern world and what are difficulties and challenges in promoting Interreligious dialogue. Part of the lecture was also the role of Peace Center in promoting this mission of the Church and the Dominicans in Pakistan in which Christians are a small religious minority of about 2 % and 96 % are Muslims. He received invitation from Ma. Are. Mario Maldonado? Cultural Heritage, Vice Minister. There was a large number of professors and intellectuals who attended the lecture and They asked questions about Christian-Muslim dialogue in Pakistan. At this auspicious and unique occasion, he was also pressed an International Peace Award by Mario Maldonado, o behalf of the Government of Guatemala. Mr Maldonado highly praised the lecture of Fr James Channan OP and thanked him for accepting the invitation to visit Guatemala.

With this Fr. James Channan OP was hosted by Fr. George Pittalis OP, Parish Priest of the Holy Rosary Basilica in Guatemala. There Fr. James Channan OP also met Archbishop of Guatemala and shared with him the activities of Peace Center and Dominican apostates in Pakistan.
